PR & media placement hero visual
Recommend: newsroom setting, journalist interview, or editorial coverage visualizationEarned coverage that
builds credibility.
Publicity, media relations, and placement strategy. We find the story worth telling, pitch it to the outlets your audience trusts, and build the kind of earned media presence that advertising can't buy.
Why it matters
Advertising tells.
Earned media sells.
Paid media gets you in front of people. Earned media gets them to believe you. When a journalist writes about your brand — in a publication their readers trust — it carries a weight that no ad budget can replicate. PR isn't a luxury for companies with big communications teams. It's the credibility layer that makes everything else you spend actually land.
Of consumers trust earned media more than any form of paid advertising
More credibility impact from third-party editorial coverage vs. brand-owned content
Typical time to build consistent media coverage from a standing start with a new media relationship program
What's included
Four deliverables.
One earned media program.
01
Media Relations Strategy
The plan that determines which stories to tell, which outlets to target, and how to build the relationships that make coverage happen consistently — not just when there's a press release.
- Story angle development
- Target media landscape mapping
- Outlet & journalist identification
- Coverage goals & timeline
- Ongoing relationship strategy
02
Press Release & Pitch Writing
The difference between coverage and no coverage is often the pitch. We write press releases and journalist pitches that give editors a reason to say yes — with the angle, the hook, and the news peg that makes your story worth their audience's time.
- Press release writing & formatting
- Custom pitch letters by outlet
- Story angle variations
- Executive quote development
- Wire distribution (where applicable)
03
Journalist Outreach & Media List
We maintain real relationships with journalists, editors, and producers across local, regional, and trade media. We pitch to people we know — not blast lists — and follow up in a way that gets responses without burning the relationship.
- Curated media list development
- Personalized journalist outreach
- Follow-up & response management
- Ongoing relationship cultivation
- New journalist identification
04
Coverage Tracking & Reporting
We track every mention, clip every piece of coverage, and report on reach, sentiment, and the estimated media value of what's been earned. Monthly coverage reports keep you informed on what's landed and what we're working on next.
- Coverage monitoring & clipping
- Monthly coverage report
- Reach & impressions estimate
- Sentiment analysis
- Media value assessment
Who we work with
PR for brands ready
to earn their coverage.
Companies with a Story to Tell
Product launches, expansions, executive appointments, funding announcements, and origin stories. When something newsworthy happens at the company, we make sure the right people hear about it through the outlets that matter.
Brands Building Category Authority
Thought leadership placement, executive profiling, and expert source positioning. We build the media presence that makes your brand the one journalists call when they need a quote from someone in your space.
Local & Regional Businesses
New Orleans and Gulf South media relations, local business coverage, community story placement, and the kind of local visibility that drives foot traffic and word-of-mouth.
Our approach
Relationships first.
Coverage follows.
Story
Find the angle worth pitching
Most press releases get ignored because there's no real news hook. We find the angle that gives a journalist a reason to write the story — before we write a word of the pitch.
Target
Right outlet, right reporter
Spray-and-pray pitching burns relationships and gets no coverage. We target the specific journalists who cover your beat and pitch them stories that are actually relevant to their readers.
Pitch
Write like a journalist
Pitches that sound like ads don't work. We write pitches from the journalist's perspective — what's the story, why does it matter now, and what makes it worth the reader's time.
Build
Relationships, not transactions
The best PR programs are built on ongoing journalist relationships — not one-off pitches. We invest in the relationships that make future coverage easier to land.
How it works
Five steps from story
to coverage.
01
Discovery & Story Development
We learn the business and uncover the stories worth telling. Company history, leadership backgrounds, unique approaches, upcoming announcements, and the perspective that makes your brand a credible voice in the category.
02
Media Landscape Mapping
We identify the outlets and journalists who cover your space — local, trade, and national — and build the media list that targets your audience through the sources they trust.
03
Press Materials & Pitch Development
Press release and pitch letter written, reviewed, and approved. We develop the core materials and the story angles we'll pitch across different outlet types.
04
Outreach & Relationship Building
Personalized outreach to targeted journalists. We pitch, follow up, and manage the back-and-forth — and keep notes on every relationship so outreach gets more effective over time.
05
Coverage Tracking & Monthly Report
Every piece of coverage clipped and reported. Monthly summary of what ran, what's pending, what we pitched and didn't land, and what we're prioritizing next month.
Common questions
Straight answers.
Can you guarantee coverage?
No — and anyone who does is lying. Coverage is earned, not bought. What we can guarantee is that we'll pitch the right stories to the right journalists with pitches that give them a reason to say yes. Coverage rates depend on the newsworthiness of the story and the media landscape at the time.
How is PR different from advertising?
Advertising is paid placement you control. PR is earned placement from a third party — a journalist or editor who chose to cover your story. The credibility difference is enormous. Readers know when something is an ad; a feature story in a publication they trust is read differently.
What outlets do you have relationships with?
We have established relationships with New Orleans and Gulf South media — Times-Picayune, Biz New Orleans, New Orleans CityBusiness, local TV stations, and regional publications. We also pitch national trade and industry publications relevant to our clients' categories. We'll tell you honestly which outlets are realistic for your story.
How long does it take to see coverage?
For most clients starting from scratch, consistent coverage takes 2–3 months to build as we develop the pitch materials, identify the right journalists, and build the relationships. Immediate coverage is possible with a strong news hook — a major announcement, a launch, or a genuinely compelling story.
Do you handle crisis communications?
We handle reactive PR — responding to negative coverage, managing media inquiries during challenging situations, and developing the response strategy when something goes wrong publicly. Crisis comms is scoped separately from ongoing PR programs.
Do you write the press releases or do we?
We write them. Press releases that get coverage are written by people who understand what journalists need — not corporate communications templates. We'll incorporate your key messages, get quotes from leadership, and write something that a journalist can actually use.
What pairs well
Earned media works harder with paid.
